Biography:
Professional:
Writing is my passion and I have been very fortunate to make a career out of writing, creating, and sharing the stories of others by working in public relations.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Purdue University, and I went back and earned my Master’s Degree in Global PR and Strategic Communication from Purdue as well in 2020. I’ve had a wide variety of communications experiences that have made me like a comms swiss army knife in a lot of ways.
One of my proudest professional achievements is the business that my husband and I have built together, Anglotopia.net. What started as a humble blog from a closet in our tiny Chicago apartment, has grown into the largest Anglophile website in the world. I have served our company as the President of Public Relations, where we build strategic relationships with Fortune 500 Companies, sent a correspondent to cover the Royal Weddings of both William & Kate, and Harry & Megan. We grew our influencer marketing platform scratch, and I now help manage our massive social media followings.
In 2015 my husband I launched the Anglotopia print magazine to complement the website. I stepped into a long-form article writer and editor role, which I have enjoyed immensely. I learned how to layout a magazine, and take it through the publishing cycle. We also launched the Anglotopia Podcast where I regularly appear, write and produce.
My Fiction Writing:
One day I had an idea for a novel, I sat down and began to write. I did not move from my computer for almost a week. When I did finally get up, I had my first draft of a novel. It was that week that I found my life’s true passion, writing romance. I have several completed novels in the romance genre.
With several years of professional writing experience and a skilled creative voice, the time is right to take my creative writing out into the world. My goal is to be a published author, where I can write creatively for a living. I am not afraid of hard work, in fact, I relish in it. There is a saying that goes, “your dreams do not work unless you do.” I am determined to work for my dreams. Hey who knows, maybe someday I will hold an Oscar of my own.
